Amy Chickering, Retail Training & Development Manager at Savings Bank of Walpole, built her career step by step, growing through roles including Teller, Vault Teller, Universal Banker, Branch Services Trainer, and now leading the retail training department at Savings Bank of Walpole.
Before banking, Amy’s passion was education. “I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Masters in Elementary Education… being an integral part of someone’s growth and development has always filled my cup.”
That passion carried forward. “I stepped into my banking career with zero previous experience and was quickly shown all the courses, certificates, and diplomas available through CFTEA. I leaned into the opportunity to take CFTEA courses any chance I could to strengthen my knowledge of the banking industry.”
And she did just that, completing courses including ABA Principles of Banking, ABA Legal Foundations in Banking, Written Communication, Engaging Adult Learners, and most recently Modern Classroom Certified Trainer.
