Certifications are typically completed by enrolling in the individual courses that make up the certification program. This flexible approach allows learners to balance work, education, and personal commitments without feeling overwhelmed.

You may enroll in multiple courses at once if approved by your organization or if your schedule allows.

Yes. CFTEA certifications include an exam or assessment that evaluates applied knowledge and professional competence.

CFTEA replay is included with CFTEA Certifications and allows students to retake their certification exam at no additional cost.

If a student does not pass the certification exam on the first attempt, they may retake the exam without paying an additional fee. This ensures students can demonstrate their knowledge with confidence, without added financial pressure.

You can request an information transcript (at no cost) from the CFTEA office at any time to see how your completed courses compare with the award worksheet requirements.

You may also request a free progress report that highlights any certifications, diploma, or certificate for which you need three or fewer courses to finish. While system-generated reports may not always be perfectly accurate, the CFTEA office reviews each report before sending it to you.

CFTEA issues certificates annually in the month of June.

• Partner organizations receive certifications at the beginning of June for internal employee recognition.
• Individuals not affiliated with an organization will have their CFTEA certifications mailed directly to them in June.
