Raise your hand if you ever feel like you’re running on fumes, constantly connected but never truly present. In today’s “always on” world, burnout is a real struggle, but it doesn’t have to be our default setting.
The good news? We’re not alone! Experts and everyday people are developing amazing strategies to combat burnout. It is important to keep in mind that burnout is a journey, not a destination.
When we feel down because of a change in life or health circumstances, we typically return to usual after two months. If feelings of sadness or hopelessness are constant and do not recede with time, it may be a sign of depression. If you or someone you know may need support dealing with more than the blues it is important to speak to a trained medical professional.
