Spotlight on Success: Sheri Bailey, TowneBank 🌟
Sheri Bailey doesn’t think of professional development as something you check off. As a Member Service Representative and Specialist at TowneBank, she has spent the last four years steadily building her expertise through CFTEA. The picture this paints isn’t a single completion. It’s a practice.
Over those four years, Sheri has completed Introduction to Leadership, Introduction to Management, Banking Today, and A Manager’s Guide to Managing People. She is currently working toward her Certification of Trust Administration. Looking further ahead, she is pursuing her CFP designation.
In her own words:
“I am driven by a strong desire not only to grow in my role but also to remain knowledgeable and adaptable as the banking industry continues to evolve. For me, continuing education is not just an option. It is essential to maintaining excellence and delivering the highest level of service.”
The way Sheri describes the impact of each course is specific. Banking Today gave her a broader understanding of financial products, regulatory requirements, and current industry trends, which she now uses to better educate and guide TowneBank members. The leadership and management courses sharpened her ability to communicate, navigate challenges with confidence, and contribute to team dynamics. The ABA Trust Administration certificate is positioning her to support members on wealth management and fiduciary questions in more specialized and meaningful ways.
