Ever wonder what really happens at a CFTEA Leaders Conference? Spoiler alert, it is never quiet and this year was no exception.
Last year’s evaluations were loud and clear: “We want to talk about AI!” And talk we did. From headlines to policies, from “is it saving time?” to “is it taking over the world?”, the discussion was so good that we may have borrowed some time from the next session. (Sorry, Pete!)
Meanwhile, C Bucks (our official conference engagement currency and the cause of some spirited silent auction battles) were flying faster than a voice-to-text message that completely mangles what you said. Did everyone get the same C Bucks for the same things? Some things are random and that was part of the fun. Some attendees teamed up, others went solo, and yes, more than one person offered to wash Tammy’s car to earn extra. Three times, to be exact. Creative, determined, slightly concerning, but we admire the hustle.
Back to AI because we did eventually circle back. The group dug into how to use it responsibly in learning and development. The big takeaway? Better results and smarter use of time. That is exactly what inspired CFTEA’s new course, Harnessing AI for Learning and Development, complete with over 100 prompt templates built specifically for those in learning and development.
Want to be part of the next round of learning, laughter, and maybe a little friendly chaos?
Mark your calendars for September 30 and October 1, 2026, in Concord, New Hampshire.
Bring your curiosity, your questions, and yes, your C Bucks game face. Because next year, we are leveling up to C Bucks 2.0.
