Throwback Thursday to our time at the Pineland Campus
For years, CFTEA made its home at Auburn Hall on the Pineland Campus. The conference center there was a hub of activity—students gathered for live classes, community banks sent employees for professional development, and the energy of in-person learning filled every corner.
Tammy and Andrew worked out of Auburn Hall right up until just before the pandemic. When COVID hit, it shifted everything—not just for them, but for financial institutions everywhere. Professional development went virtual, and CFTEA was already ahead of the curve as everyone worked to adapt.
Now, as CFTEA celebrates 100 years, it’s inspiring to look back on places like Pineland and remember what made them special:
✅ A commitment to quality
✅ A focus on people
✅ A community built on support and growth
That same mission—bankers teaching the next generation of bankers—has expanded over the decades to include a diverse and vibrant board as well as strong partnerships with community organizations and financial institutions.
The lesson? No matter where we’ve been located or how times have changed, our focus has stayed the same: people first.
Here’s to celebrating the past, recognizing the present, and embracing the next 100 years of CFTEA’s story.
