CFTEA Council Spotlight: Sarah Porter, Retail Talent Development Business Partner
Norway Savings Bank
A huge round of applause for CFTEA’s newest council member, Sarah Porter! CFTEA Regional Advisory Council members provide key insights into the needs of the community and provide professional expertise with diverse perspectives. They are truly CFTEA champions! Council members are always invited as observers to board meetings and may look to become board members.
Sarah’s personal experiences bring a wealth of insight. “I have taken many CFTEA courses myself and often recommend their training options to colleagues looking to further their skills. I love the wide variety of courses available and multiple options of learning formats. And the personal service is great! Tammy and Andrew are always quick to answer whenever I have a question and help to find the best solution. I enjoy being able to support a local organization for our education needs.”
“Recently I encountered a tricky situation involving a certificate program offered by both ABA and CFTEA. Tammy at CFTEA helped me understand the options available to us and compared costs and benefits. She even explained how things work on the ABA side. That level of knowledge and transparency demonstrated a trustworthiness that I will definitely turn to in the future!”
What does Sarah believe will be the most rewarding part of being a council member? “Collaborating with like-minded individuals and positively influencing training options available for my colleagues!”
Council members provide a strong voice to CFTEA with learning on all sides as opportunities and challenges are discussed and appreciated. Channels are also available to give council feedback directly to the CFTEA board of directors. CFTEA values adding the voice of Norway Savings Bank and Sarah to the inclusive learning community! Welcome aboard!
