CFTEA Council Spotlight Erika Cronkhite | Employee Development Officer Bangor Savings
CFTEA is thrilled to welcome Erika Cronkhite to the CFTEA Regional Advisory Council.
Reflecting on what drew her to the CFTEA council, Erika shared, “CFTEA has a great reputation for connecting students with the learning and education they need to have a successful career in the financial world. I believe what I learn with CFTEA can assist me in helping employees achieve more in their banking careers. My current role in Employee Development has provided me with a great opportunity to assist employees to discover their career goals and dreams. I don’t think there is anything more satisfying for me than helping employees identify and create those opportunities for themselves.”
Bangor Savings’ community approach empowers employees to get involved in leadership opportunities at non-profit organizations like CFTEA. That includes new opportunities such as supporting the CFTEA council. “I don’t have much experience directly with CFTEA, but that is part of my intrigue in getting involved. I have always enjoyed finding new and exciting ways to work on career advancement, education, networking, and awareness of what’s available and these are key factors that I know CFTEA can assist with.”
When thinking about the opportunity to take part in guiding and supporting CFTEA, Erika saw how her personal values matched with the mission of CFTEA. “CFTEA emphasizes the importance of continuous learning, career development, and supporting professionals in the banking, finance, and business sectors. This is something I also feel passionate about, and I am excited to be a part of it. I appreciate that CFTEA is innovative and forward-thinking about educational programs, which is excellent. I really like that I can be part of a program that is thinking about the future growth of this industry.”
In this role, Erika is looking forward to collaborating and learning from her fellow council members while sharing key resources with others. “Sharing what I learn with my community, colleagues, and volunteer partners is one of the rewarding things that I am looking forward to by being a CFTEA council member.”
Council members provide a strong voice to CFTEA with learning on all sides as opportunities and challenges are discussed and appreciated. CFTEA values adding Erika as she joins fellow council member, Sarah Doak and board member, Brea Hatch from Bangor Savings to our inclusive learning community! Welcome to the team, Erika!
