Dimensions of Employee Wellness
In order to support employees, HR professionals must take a holistic approach to wellness. This involves recognizing and understanding the different dimensions that contribute to health and well-being. In this course, we’ll explore eight different dimensions of wellness and learn about lifestyle habits that support them. We’ll also provide an overview of the factors, both internal and external, that can affect workplace wellness and explore ways that organizations can demonstrate a strong commitment to employee health. Finally, you’ll take the time to assess your own wellness and outline some of the specific factors that affect wellness in your organization.
Management Practices That Support Wellness
This online course, aimed at HR professionals with one or more HRCI certifications as well as non-HR managers interested in promoting workplace wellness, is designed to help learners oversee and support an organizational culture that promotes employee well-being. Self-paced and highly interactive, the course outlines an array of management practices that will help your organization build an inclusive culture that supports wellness, including clear communication, support for employees who experience burnout or mental-health issues, steps to improve work-life balance, employee recognition programs, and effective change management. It includes videos, interactive games, and two case studies that ask learners to apply what they have learned in the course to real-world situations.
Developing Healthy Workplaces
Developing Healthy Workplaces delves into the type of policy-making that leads an organization to better health and wellness. This course explores what wellness is, various types of wellness that affect a workplace, and wellness programs. Additionally, it discusses the different types of harm that employees are open to, ranging from physically hazardous issues covered by OSHA to stress and anxiety-fueled burnout. Two case studies ask the learner to apply their knowledge to real-life scenarios, and commentary videos from subject matter experts offer additional perspectives.
