Her current focus is the bank’s Employee Development team, helping employees grow careers inside the organization.

In her words: “I admire what CFTEA represents, an organization dedicated to professional development, collaboration, and advancing the financial industry. The value it provides to its members is evident not only in its educational offerings, but also in the meaningful connections it fosters.”

That alignment between her work and CFTEA’s mission is what drew her in. “I am deeply committed to exploring new and innovative ways to engage employees, support their professional journeys, and create pathways for success. This work aligns closely with the mission of CFTEA.”

She named both contribution and growth as her motivations for stepping into the role. “Serving on the board will allow me to contribute my perspective while also learning from others, further strengthening the skills and insights I bring to my role.”

July marks the start of new board terms at CFTEA. It’s also a good reminder of what makes this work hold up. Partnerships like the one with Bangor Savings Bank exist because employee development is taken seriously inside the organization. CFTEA exists to make that work more affordable, more structured, and more connected across the industry.

Welcome to the board, Erika. We’re looking forward to what you’ll bring to the table.
