As soon as I got my job at TD Bank., I started looking for resources that would help me professionally with the right attitude and skills. I went to a book store and bought four books and started studying at home. It was not enough to help me. I searched but found no answer. My manager encouraged me about training near to me with courses that would help me with my work. She gave me the CFTEA website. The American Bankers Association also responded to my request and gave me the same contacts at CFTEA as my manager!
I learned right away how the course , helps me in my day-to-day work by understanding the structure and elements of a check. What I have found most interesting is how banks protect against money laundering and terrorism financing.
I have a more open mind and I have confidence in my day-to-day work. I am like a clock with a new battery – working correctly!!
My plans are to become a great banking professional with the goal of more knowledge, professional growth and to explore the banking field as I build my career. In the long term, I would like to work as a branch manager and I will continue studying at CFTEA until I achieve my objectives.
