Certified Modern Branch (Universal Banker) Level I

Designed for branch employees seeking a true universal banking model and suited as a career path beyond entry level  through assistant managers.  Retail employees require a full range of skills and knowledge to manage relationships across a broad spectrum of modern topics.

Course required for certification:

• Principles of Banking
• Legal Foundations in Banking
• Deposit Accounts and Services
• IRA Essentials OnDemand, IRA Basics or equivalent internal IRA Basics course.
• Security Awareness
• Handling Workplace Conflict
• Sales Essentials Certificate or equivalent internal referral/sales courses.

Application, Exam and Status:

A certification application may be submitted with employer recommendation for $100.  Certification will last for 5 years and require an exam retake of $25 or taking another CFTEA class within that time frame to maintain certification. The exam will be a timed, online test.  Upon successful completion of the exam, students will receive a digital badge used to document and share certification status.
