TowneBank employees and CFTEA Board Members, Julie Stevens and Robyn Walters, were recognized at the 2024 CFTEA Leaders Conference for their large contributions to CFTEA as a non-profit organization.

(l-r, Sharon Byrd, Andrew Lederer, Meredith Elliott)

Julie Stevens accepted the Sapphire Award in recognition of TowneBank being a key contributor, actively promoting learning and development for their employees, and going the extra mile to support Executive Director, Andrew Lederer, when conducting on-site training at Towne University. The dedication to continued education for the TowneBank family is unique and there is a continued effort to find ways to better utilize course material that support continued learning and advancement. CFTEA courses are tied into internal programs and play a role in the Towne Academy and LEAD Associate programs. Beyond that, TowneBank continues to support internal course instructors such as John Baiocco, Judy Barrett, Debbie Morgan, and Laura Lewin. Julie currently serves on the Executive Committee of the CFTEA Board of Directors as VP as she prepares to take the role of CFTEA Board President in the future. It is the support of community financial institutions that bring strength to CFTEA. Congratulations on the recognition and hard work!

CFTEA Board Member, Robyn Walters of TowneBank, has been awarded the CFTEA 2024 Making a Difference Award. The award is based on innovative thinking and inspiration. When Robyn joined the CFTEA Board of Directors her legal background afforded her a different point of view that was needed on the board. Her energy, interest, and work have been invaluable. Her work as an attorney has allowed her to review contracts as well as providing legal thoughts and considerations that a non-profit needs to consider. Under her leadership, document reviews and suggestions have strengthened CFTEA’s standing in the learning community. Recently when CFTEA’s attorney was unable to review a contract, Robyn willingly offered and provided key points and changes to the document. It was AMAZING! Robyn just recently joined the CFTEA Communication Committee and continues to share her innovative and inspiring voice.

Truly outstanding and well deserving of the CFTEA 2024 Making a Difference Award! Thank you, Robyn, and congratulations on your recognition!
